The Mystery of the "Disappearing" Leads

Have you ever noticed your lead count dropping unexpectedly? You had 77 leads this morning, but now you only see 69. Don't worry—they haven't vanished!

In Odoo, when a Lead is qualified by the Sales team, it is converted into an Opportunity. Depending on which menu or filter you are using, these converted leads might "hide" from your current view.

How to See the Full Picture

To see the total number of people who signed up for an Open House—regardless of whether they are still a "Lead" or have already become an "Opportunity"—follow these steps:

StepActionWhy?
1Go to CRM > Reporting > Pipeline. The Pipeline report combines both Leads and Opportunities.
2Use the Search Bar and select the "AP - Open House" shared filter. This filters specifically for your event tags.
3Check the Total Count. This view ignores the "Lead vs. Opportunity" status and shows everyone collected.

💡 Pro-Tips for Accuracy

  • Check the "Archived" Filter: If the numbers still don't match, check if any leads were marked as "Lost" or archived. You can see these by adding the filter Archived or Active is No in the search bar.

  • Group By "Stage": In the Reporting view, use the Group By button and select Stage. This will show you exactly how many are still new leads versus how many have moved forward in the sales process.
